Beautiful, Messy, Emotional Motherhood

I became a mother at 19 years old. That's right, 19. That unplanned pregnancy forever changed me. Since my first daughter was born I have added two more daughters to my family. Being a mom of 3 girls is so beautiful. I always knew I would love my children, but I never could have comprehended the earth shattering love I would feel when each of my daughters were placed in my arms for the first time. I'm always stuck in a stage of wanting to savor every stage in their lives and yearning to know what the next chapter will bring. I've experienced so many highs and lows in motherhood. Raising children is not for the faint of heart, and I'm always unsure of if I'm doing it right. But one thing for certain is my children know without any doubt that I love them unconditionally and I will always be there for them.

As each of my daughters grows, learns, and blossoms into the people they are meant to become my wishes for them are:

-I want them to always feel loved.

-I want them to be kind even when the world isn't kind to them.

-I want them to dream big, and know that I will support them in their dreams.

-I want them to be humble.

-I want them to feel confident to be their own person and not blend in with the crowd.

-I want them to love with their whole self and not be afraid.

-I want them find joy and enjoy the stillness of the simple things.

-I want them to have the courage to pick themselves off the ground when they don't believe they can keep going forward.

-I want them to stand up for what they believe.

-I want them to be brave, but know it's ok to ask for help.

-I want them to take responsibility and own their mistakes.

-I want them to never have to apologize for being who they are.

I know every mother has different wishes for their children, and because of that I believe that is why we were given the children we have. They need YOU mama, not just any mama, YOU.

Below is beautiful Shanda and her newest sweet little addition to her family. Decker was so precious, and it was an absolute joy documenting their bond.
